AUE 20th Anniversary Celebrations Begin!

Wow, what a month! We’re kicking off our 20th Anniversary with an exciting, fresh look including a new logo (designed by Dark Horse Graphics), a new website (awesome work, Ballistic Arts) and new entertainment options.
In 1992 our company was “Murder Unlimited”, performing Murder Mysteries with maybe 5 guests at each show and 3 of them were often my family members! Now AUE regularly performs 75-100 gigs/year including game shows, improvisation, signature roving characters, and customized show productions.
While some faces have changed throughout the years (and not just by getting older), some things haven’t changed . We continue to work with brilliant actors who consistently deliver fearless and exceptional performances. They are the life-blood of our company and I’m honoured to be associated with some of the best interactive performers in Canada, arguably in the world.
And happily, a number of our clients haven’t changed either!
One of the statistics that makes me most proud – one I whip out at parties and shindigs – is many companies have hired us over 100 times! That’s enough to make anyone’s heart shine.
I intended to fill this post with funny anecdotes about crazy shows we’ve done. Like the “vomit show” – where some drunk guest vomited on our street clothes that were stashed in the bathroom of the restaurant we were performing in, and we didn’t find out until we had our street clothes back on and Jen said: “What’s this wet stuff on the back of my shirt?” and then I said: “Don’t move, it looks like vomit! Wait, is that why my pants are so wet against my skin?” And then we both started screaming.
Or the “everyone-in-the-audience-got-fired-just-before-we-started-the-show” gig. Which is pretty self explanatory. Or the playboy bunny gig where we performed for… playboy bunnies. No, those stories will have to wait for another time.
